Rejection Can be Messy

Especially when you weren’t planning on rejecting.

If you’ve been reading along, you should know about the guy who crossed way too many boundaries, all in one day. Well, this guy had to be let down and not only was it not easy, he didn’t take it well. This is the same guy my friend tried to set me up with. So it already didn’t start off well.

The slow fizzle started on a Monday, but the hard rejection came on a Friday night. Why do some people just not get the hint?

After the debacle that was Saturday night, I get a text on Monday morning with a smiling selfie and a bright good morning. I look at it, at 5am and roll back over in bed and catch my last 30 minutes of sleep before I have to start my day. However, I have my read receipts on so of course he saw I read it. In the next 30 minutes I get 3 more texts.

Ping* You must still be sleeping, text me when you wake!
Ping* Do you have a busy day today?

I finally responded and let him know that I need a little space and am a little overwhelmed with everything right now.
